“In September 2019, in view of my pelvic ultrasound scan findings, I had to undergo a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy. There were two options discussed with me regarding the procedure: an out-patient hysteroscopy or a day-case hysteroscopy. Although I was a bit anxious about the pain and discomfort which might be involved during the procedure, I consented to the first option. My gynaecologist was Dr Anupama Shahid. She was just wonderful, extremely nice and kind as a human being, and an expert and super-excellent as a doctor. She performed the procedure so gently and so skilfully that truly and honestly, I didn’t experience any pain at all – only feeling a little bit of pressure when some solution was used, which was quite tolerable. “Upon my first appointment with Mrs Shahid at 148 Harley street, I left very satisfied due to the thorough examination and time she gave in addition to asking me questions which allowed her to study my entire case. Mrs.Shahid is the only doctor who has been able to properly treat me and help me with my gynaecological troubles that I have been facing since 4 years. She was able to put her finger on the exact problem which to many doctors around the world just seemed like PCOS with an under weight issue due to stress alone. “Dr Shahid what can I say except for I thank you with all my heart for saving my life. After 3 months of IVF I was experiencing alot of pain on my left hand side, all other gynaecologists dismissed me, however I then saw Dr Shahid who didn’t hesitate to send me for an emergency MRI scan which showed that I had a 10-14 cm cancerous tumour on my left ovary she then arranged for me to have emergency surgery. If Dr Shahid had not recognised the tumour the cancer would have spread and I would not be here now.
